A little of this and that...

Well its been awhile since my last post. I have been busy chasing a toddler around.....Camdyn is now 17 months old and is non-stop! We are still doing swim lessons once a week and she is loving the pool and has no fear whatsoever and loves to jump on from the side of the pool on her own. She can hold her breath for a few seconds, climb out on her own and blow bubbles. She is really starting to show her opinion and what she wants to do. She will take my finger and pull me towards what she wants to do, like go for a walk or play outside. She has also learned how to throw a little fit if she doesn't get her way...She is now going up and down the stairs pretty much on her own, we are just there to supervise. We got a little slide for her playroom that she loves! She is quite a daredevil and climbs on everything she can. She is saying a lot of new words like banana, shoes, blue, map, backpack (thanks to Dora the Explorer), Elmo, keys, kitty, ipad. She also tries to sing along with Old MacDonald at the EIEIO part. She has discovered the phone and tries to use our phones or the ipod to "call" us. She loves to read books and will bring you a book and climb into your lap for a little story time. She has gotten 3 of her first molars and has been quite a good eater!

We did get to have a little getaway in the end of July for an overnighter in Sonoita, AZ. Julene was happy to come and stay over so we could check out Arizona wine country. The area is really beautiful and we had a great time. I was amazed at how many wineries are in that area. We did some wine tasting and then on Sunday checked out Kartchner's Caverns and hit Frog 'N Firkin for some lunch in Tucson.

 

 

August was pretty quite. We spend a lot of time in the backyard in the pool trying to stay cool and busy with work, etc.  Last weekend we spent our 3rd annual weekend in Flagstaff with the Hollenbach's for the car show and Sharene's birthday. We had a very rainy weekend and enjoyed being out of the heat and in some cool weather. Liza loved to run around the 5 acre property and Camdyn had a great time with her cousin Brayden, aunts, uncles and grandparents. She loved to play in the mud and smell the flowers.
